Ingredients
• 12 ounces French bread, a day old • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled • 1 cup brown sugar • 2 teaspoons cornstarch • 6 eggs • 2 cups milk • 1 teaspoon vanilla • 1 teaspoon cinnamon • 1/4 cup maple syrup, for topping, or to taste • powdered sugar, for topping, to taste • whipped cream, for topping, to tasteDirections
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Grease a 9x13-inch greased baking tray

Slice the bread into 1-inch cubes, then dice and peel the apples into bite-sized pieces.
Step 4
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the apples, bread, cornstarch, and sugar.

Using a separate bowl, whisk the milk, vanilla, eggs, and cinnamon together. Then, pour the egg mixture into the bread bowl.

Stir up the ingredients well, then pour into the prepared tray.

Bake until golden brown, for 45 minutes.

Serve topped with the maple syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream!
