These burgers are delicious and reminiscent of a summer day spent at Pop’s lake house. After a day in the sun or in the water, there’s no better taste than a juicy grilled burger on a toasted bun! Serve with your favorite chips or veggies for a perfect and satisfying meal.

• 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck • 3 tablespoons tamari soy sauce • 1 teaspoon salt • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper • 1/2 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice • butter • bun • assorted toppings, for serving (cheese, mushrooms, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, mayo, ketchup—whatever you desire!)

Step 1

Add the beef, soy sauce, salt, ground pepper, and lemon juice to a bowl. Mix thoroughly until the mixture has soaked into the meat.

Step 2

Form 4 patties and season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.

Step 3

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, grill the burgers on both sides until they are cooked to your desired doneness.

Step 4

Butter the insides of the buns and lightly toast just before you are ready to serve the burgers.

Step 5

Assemble burgers with a patty and your desired toppings!
