It’s Halloween, and the perfect time for some spooky snacks for the season! Halloween Mummy Dogs are basically pigs in a blanket that have grown to full size: a juicy hot dog wrapped in buttery pastry, which everyone enjoys. With fun goofy mayo eyes, Halloween Mummy Dogs won’t scare you unless you’re scared by tasty treats! It’s an easy-to-make and festive twist on the classic hotdog.
Ingredients• 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent rolls • 8 hot dogs • mayonnaise, to taste, for the eyes • poppy seeds, to taste, for the eyes For the optional dips: • mustard, to taste • ketchup, to taste
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Carefully open the crescent roll package.
Use 1 dough strip for each hot dog wrapping them to look like mummies. Be sure to leave an opening for the eyes.
Place the Mummy Dogs on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until light golden brown, about 12-15 minutes.
Transfer the Mummy Dogs from the oven and let cool slightly.
Place dots of the mayonnaise and poppy seeds for the eyes.
Serve with mustard and ketchup for dipping!
