Dipping pretzels into honey mustard is a snacking tradition as old as time... or at least as old as pretzels. Easy Honey Mustard Pretzel Chicken takes that concept and turns it into a crust for a chicken dish unlike any other. Hence the crust draped over the savory, juicy chicken is crunchy and salty, with that distinct pretzel flavor. What's more, each piece of chicken is coated in honey mustard, so every bite is basically self-dipping! Easy Honey Mustard Pretzel Chicken comes together in less than half an hour, perfect for seamlessly turning your snack time into supper time!
Ingredients• 6 cups tiny pretzel twists • 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce, plus more for serving • 2 large eggs • 1 1/4 pounds of chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, and cut into bite-sized pieces • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Generously grease two rimmed baking sheets with cooking spray.
In a large resealable plastic bag, crush the pretzels with the back of a wooden spoon or a rolling pin until the mixture is coarsely ground. Transfer the ground pretzels to a shallow bowl.
In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the honey mustard sauce and eggs.
In a medium bowl, season the chicken with salt and pepper.
Toss the chicken with flour until evenly coated.
Dip each chicken piece in the honey mustard mixture, letting the excess drip off.
Roll each coated chicken piece in the pretzel crumbs, pressing it down to adhere.
Transfer the pretzel-coated chicken to the baking sheets in a single layer.
Spray the chicken with cooking spray.
Bake, turning halfway through until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden, for about 12-15 minutes.
Serve the chicken with more honey mustard sauce.
