Tajin can take anything and kick its flavor levels up a notch! If you love a unique spice blend you can sprinkle on enchiladas, tacos, or Mexican rice, Easy Homemade Tajin is the way to go. It’s a zingy mixture of dried peppers, lime, and sea salt — the ideal combination of spicy, tangy, and savory. Easy Homemade Tajin is so tasty, you’ll want to add it onto everything you eat.

• 1 cup peppers, such as guajillo, ancho, or chipotle, dried and seeded • 1 lime, zested • 2 teaspoons coarse sea salt

Step 1

With gloved hands and using a sharp knife, slice open the peppers, removing any remaining seeds and the stems.

Step 2

Run the knife through the dried pepper pieces to help them fit into a spice grinder.

Step 3

Place the pepper pieces into the spice grinder.

Step 4

Add the lime zest and sea salt into the grinder.

Step 5

Once everything is in the spice grinder, pulse the mixture until it is finely blended.

Step 6

Remove the seasoning, place it in a bowl or into a glass jar, and store it for later use.
