The Easy Grilled Chicken Sandwich is coated in a sweet and tangy marinade that brings out the most of the natural savory flavor of the chicken. Laid on a crunchy toasted bun and with your favorite condiment, the Easy Grilled Chicken Sandwich is juicy and satisfying when enjoyed in the summer sun. Make sure you have all your favorite burger toppings ready to adorn this sandwich!


For the marinade: • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 1 tablespoon brown sugar • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 1/2 teaspoon pepper For the sandwich: • 4 (6 ounce) chicken breasts, pounded to 1/2-inch thickness • 4 sesame seed buns, halved • olive oil, optional, for brushing • 1/4 cup honey mustard or mayonnaise Optional for topping: • cheese, of your choice, to taste • lettuce, to taste • tomatoes, to taste • onions, to taste


Step 1

In a zipper bag or large bowl, combine the vegetable oil, cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Toss the chicken in the marinade and allow it to marinate for 30 minutes and up to 4 hours.

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Grill the chicken until no pink remains and it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 5-6 minutes per side.

Brush the cut sides of the buns with the olive oil.

Lightly toast the buns on the grill, cut side down.
