• 2 tablespoons coriander powder • 1 tablespoon red chili powder • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder • 1 teaspoon salt • 3 tablespoons vinegar or lime juice • 1 tablespoon garlic paste • 4 fillets fish, any kind • flour, for coating • oil, for frying

Editor's Notes:

Looking for an air fryer method? Typically, you will want to air fry fish sticks at 390 degrees F for 12-15 minutes, flipping the fish at the 8-minute mark. Cook time may vary, so please pay close attention while cooking.

Step 1

Mix the coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric, salt, vinegar, and garlic paste into a smooth paste. Add a little water if needed if it seems too thick.

Step 2

Pat the fish dry.

Step 3

On a cutting board or in a large bowl, coat the fish fillets with the paste, coating evenly. Marinate for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Roll the fish in the flour.

Step 5

Heat the frying oil in a skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.

Step 6

Shallow fry the fish for 5 minutes on each side.

Step 7

Drain the fish of excess oil on paper towels before serving.

Step 8

Serve hot
