• 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs • salt, to taste • ground black pepper, to taste • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided • 4 cloves garlic, minced • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed • 1 tablespoon honey • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil


Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2

Season the chicken generously with salt and pepper.

Step 3

In an oven-proof skillet (such as a cast iron), melt 2 tablespoons of butter.

Step 4

Cook the chicken skin-side down until golden.

Step 5

Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a plate.

Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet.

Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.

Turn off the heat source.
