Ingredients
For the sauce: • 3/4 cup mayonnaise • 1/4 cup chili sauce • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce For the shrimp: • 1/2 pound shrimp, raw • 1 cup buttermilk • 1 tablespoon lemon juice • 3/4 cup cornstarch • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour • 2 cups canola oil For serving: • 3 flour tortillas • 1 cup iceberg lettuce • 1 cup tomatoes, diced • 2 tablespoons sour cream, optional • scallion, optional, to taste • lime, optional, to taste, wedgedDirections
In a medium bowl, combine the mayo, chili sauce, and sriracha.
In a separate large bowl, add the shrimp.
Pour the buttermilk and lemon juice over the shrimp and let sit for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
Mix together the cornstarch and flour.
In a large pan, heat 2 cups of the oil to 375 degrees F.
Remove the shrimp from the marinade.
Coat the shrimp in the cornstarch and flour mixture.
Fry the shrimp in the hot oil for 4 minutes each.
Carefully transfer the shrimp to a paper towel to drain.
Once the shrimp have been fried and drained, toss them in the Bang Bang sauce, coating thoroughly while they are still hot.
Prepare the tortillas with the lettuce, Bang Bang shrimp, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and scallions.
Garnish with the lime, and serve.
