Ingredients
• 2 1/4 cups flour, unsifted • 1 teaspoon baking soda • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 1 cup butter, softened • 3/4 cup sugar • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar • 2 eggs • 2 teaspoons vanilla • 12 ounces chocolate chips, semi-sweet • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped • 3/4 cup caramel, finely chopped • milk, optional, for servingDirections
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
In a medium-sized bowl stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until creamy and lightened in color.
Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, adding the eggs one at a time and mixing between each addition.
Mix on low speed until everything is incorporated.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, blending slowly and being careful not to over-mix.
Fold in the chocolate chips, pecans, and caramel.
Using a tablespoon, drop the batter onto an ungreased cookie sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between the drops of dough so the cookies have room to grow.
Bake until lightly browned, about 9-11 minutes.
Let cool slightly and serve with glasses of cold milk!
